Location: Located on the east side of Hancock Avenue south of the Copse of Trees.
Description: Originally located on Reynolds Avenue, approximately 1 1/2 miles northwest of its present location. It was moved in 1888 and replaced by the larger monument featured in another post. It indicates the position held by the regiment on July 2 & 3, 1863. Monument is a three-part granite shaft topped with a granite ball and set on a 3.6×5 foot square base. The lower part of the shaft has a polished face with incised letters. The middle part of the shaft has a polished face with incised inscriptions on all sides and the upper part contains a finished stone obelisk. Overall height is 11.3 feet.
