Dedicated: June 13, 1888.

Location: Located on the east side of Slocum Avenue. It marks the position occupied by the 122nd New York Infantry after 9:00 A.M. on July 3, 1863.

Description: Monument consists of a die with rough-hewn edges and smooth faces in the centers. It stands on a low rough-hewn base and has a “shingled” or layered cap. A four-sided cross, the Corps insignia tops the cap at its apex. A relief of the New York State Seal is affixed to the front. Monument is a rough cut granite shaft with a pyramid cap containing the corps insignia and set on a six foot square rough cut base that has a recessed finished stone with polished excised letters. The shaft has a recessed finished and bronze medallion of the west face and excised inscriptions on the north and east sides. Overall height is 11.3 feet. Flanking marker on the right is one foot square.
