Location: Soldiers’ National Cemetery, south end, east of Rostrum. Monument indicates the position held by the 1st Massachusetts Battery during the Gettysburg campaign on July 3, 1863.
Description: This monument is flanked with one wrought iron cannon. The monument is a shaft with a raised polished surface and a pyramidal designed cap, and set on a four-foot square base. The shaft has an incised inscription on the front and excised polished stone with corps insignia on the rear. The overall height is six feet.
