Location: Stone Avenue between 24th Michigan and Willoughby Run in Reynolds Woods.
Description: Narrative tablet mounted to polished slanted West face. “NORTH CAROLINA” incised in West side of monument. Marks location of the July 1, 1863 battle line of the 26th North Carolina in Herbst Woods. Regiment’s Colonel Burgwyn was mortally wounded near this location.
