Dedicated: 1985.
Location: Stonewall near the Angle on Cemetery Ridge.
Description: Erected by the state of North Carolina. Marks farthest advance position reached 7/3/1863 during Pickett’s Charge that was forced to retire due to heavy losses. Edward Bouldin designed. Pink granite monument with narrative bronze plaque. Concrete base measures 4’5″x4’11” and granite base measures 2’8″x3’0″x8″H. Monolithic sloped face shaft measures 2’8″x2’4″x2’8″H. All 3’4″H. Bronze plaque measures 1’8″x2’0″.
