Numbers: 339; 18 killed, 81 wounded, 11 missing.

Raised: Philadelphia; Lancaster County.

Dedicated: Sept. 11, 1889.

Location: Houck’s Ridge, above Devil’s Den. The location of the monument marks the position of the 99th Infantry on the late afternoon of July 2, 1863.

Description: Polished tiered and tapered granite monument with bronze state tablet, topped by granite diamond finial. Flanking markers have L slant faces, one foot square. The monument is mounted on a boulder. This monument replaced the monument that is now located near the Angle but has not been materially altered or moved.
