Location: East side of Highland Avenue, south of Hanover Road. Denotes the location of the 16th Pennsylvania Cavalry on the right of the Army of the Potomac at the Deardorff Farm.
Description: A figure of a dismounted cavalryman holding his saber in front of him stands atop a square granite base. The front of the base is adorned with a relief of two crossed sabers hanging from a tree branch. Monument is a three-part granite shaft topped by a dismounted cavalryman statue at ease and set on a five foot square smooth cut base. The lower part of the shaft has an incised regiment symbol. The middle part of the shaft has a crossed sword bas-relief and incised inscriptions on all sides. The upper part of the shaft has a bronze medallion. Overall height is 12.2 feet.
