Hancock Avenue

Erected: 1896.

Location: Located near Pennsylvania Monument and at The Angle. Constructed between 1882 and 1885, and altered in 1934 and 1961, Hancock Avenue loops through the 3rd day Battlefield including High Water Mark of Rebellion and follows the original route laid out by GBMA. Avenue begins at joining of United States Avenue and Sedgwick Avenue. When finished in 2016-2017, it will include a connection to the Taneytown and Emmitsburg Roads via the parking lot for the National Cemetery.
