Howard Avenue
Erected: 1896.
Location: Located at intersection of Mummasburg Road and at the intersection of Carlisle Road. Built in 1882, Howard Avenue allows visitation to Barlow Knoll, scene of 1st day of battle. Follows most of route laid out by GBMA in 1880s. Stretches from Mummasburg Road to Harrisburg Road with a crossing at Carlisle Rd.
Description: Cast iron avenue tablet designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet.
