Black Horse Tavern Plaque

Location: Located at the intersection of Fairfield Road (Pennsylvania State Highway 116) and Black Horse Tavern Road.

Description: Painted inscription tablet, 2’9″x1’8″. Mounted on fluted post, 3′ high. Located in front of the stone house which was the tavern site. The monument is inscribed as follows: At the time of the battle of Gettysburg this was the name of the tavern kept in this stone house which was built in 1813 and in a large log house much of older date then adjoining.
