One of three divisions in Ewell’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia. Nicknamed “The Stonewall Division.”

Commander: Maj. Gen. Edward “Allegheny” Johnson (April 16, 1816 – March 2, 1873). Professional soldier, USMA 1838, decorated during the Mexican War. He was a farmer after the Civil War.
