One of four infantry brigades in Johnson’s Division of Ewell’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Brig. Gen. John M. “Rum” Jones (July 20, 1820 – May 5, 1864). USMA 1841; professional soldier from Virginia. He was killed at the Wilderness trying to rally his men.

Losses: 453; 78 killed, 293 wounded, 82 missing.
