One of five infantry brigades in Rodes’s Division of Ewell’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Junius Daniel (June 27, 1828 – May 13, 1864). USMA 1851. Professional soldier. Daniel was a North Carolinian; he was mortally wounded trying to retake the Mule Shoe at Spotsylvania, dying the next day.
