One of five infantry brigades in Rodes’s Division of Ewell’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Alfred Iverson (February 14, 1829 – March 31, 1911). Professional soldier and lawyer from Georgia. The remnants of his shattered North Carolina brigade served attached to Ramseur’s for the rest of the battle. He was removed from command by Lee, served for a period in the West, and became an orange farmer after the War.
