One of three divisions in Hill’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Maj. Gen. Richard H. Anderson (October 7, 1821 – June 26, 1879). South Carolinian. Professional soldier, USMA 1842. Became a corps commander in the ANV. He was a planter after the Civil War.

Losses: 2,185. 372 killed, 1,180 wounded, 633 missing.
