One of five infantry brigades in Anderson’s Division of Hill’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia. This brigade was regularly under the command of Edward Perry.

Commander: Col. David Lang (May 9, 1838 – December 13, 1917). Land surveyor in Florida. Became a civil engineer after the Civil War.

Strength: 742.

Losses: 455; 80 killed, 228 wounded, 147 missing.
