One of four infantry brigades in Anderson’s Division of Hill’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Carnot Posey (August 5, 1818 – November 13, 1863). Mississippi planter; graduate of UVA law school. Posey was wounded in the thigh by a shell fragment at Bristoe Station and died a month later from infection.

Losses: 112; 15 killed, 80 wounded, 17 missing.
