One of four infantry brigades in Heth’s Division of Hill’s Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Joseph R. Davis (January 12, 1825 – September 15, 1896). Born in Louisiana; practice law in Mississippi. After the Civil War, he was a state senator in Mississippi. He was a nephew of Pres. Jefferson Davis.
