One of three brigades in Doubleday’s Division of the First Corps.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Thomas A. Rowley (October 5, 1808 – May 14, 1892). Cabinetmaker from Pittsburgh. Rowley was convicted of drunkenness at Gettysburg, although he was later reinstated. He later served as a U.S. marshal and practiced law.

Strength: 1,361

Losses: 111 killed, 557 wounded, 230 missing.
