Third Brigade (Hall) – This Deathless Field

One of three brigades in Gibbon’s Division of the Second Corps.

Commander: Col. Norman J. Hall (March 4, 1837 – May 26, 1867). New Yorker; entered USMA from Michigan, graduating 1859. He fell ill after the Gettysburg Campaign and never held another field command. He is buried at West Point.

Strength: 922

Losses: 377; 71 killed, 282 wounded, 14 missing.
