Second Brigade (Lockwood)
One of three brigades in Williams’s Division of the Twelfth Corps.
Commander: Brig. Gen. Henry H. Lockwood (August 17, 1814 – December 7, 1899). From Delaware; USMA 1836. Professor at the U.S. Naval Academy. During the battle, this brigade reported directly to the corps commander. After the war, Lockwood resumed teaching at Annapolis, where he is buried.
