Second Brigade (Kane) – This Deathless Field

One of three brigades in Geary’s Division of the Twelfth Corps.

Commander: Brig. Gen. Thomas L. Kane (January 27, 1822 – December 26, 1883). Attorney from Philadelphia. He resigned after Gettysburg due to illness. He was active in railroads after the War and is well-remembered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for his pre-war friendship in Utah.
