Crist Farm

The Michael Crist Farm is located north of the Chambersburg Pike along Willoughby Run, about 250 yards to the northeast of the Herr Tavern and the Herr Ridge Road. The farm was about 141 acres in size and served as a field hospital, most likely for Early’s Division; Scales’ Brigade of Pender’s Divison may have also had a hospital on this site.

The farm is privately owned; the current occupants have cattle on the property. This is Confederate Hospital #10 on Adams County’s tour of field hospitals.
