Currens Farm
The John Currens Farm is on on Plank Road and served as one of the hospitals for Pickett’s Division. In 1863, the farm was 105 acres in size; the farm was about four hundred feet northeast of Bream’s Mill. Like most of the field hospitals, this farm is privately owned.
John Currens, the wartime owner of the farm, died in 1899 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
This is Confederate Hospital #15 on the field hospital tour of Adams County.
