De Trobriand Avenue

Erected: 1896.

Location: Located at intersection with Sickles Avenue and Brooke Avenue.

Constructed in 1906, and starting south in Rose Woods at Sickles and Ayres Avenues, Brooke/Cross/De Trobriand Avenue loops back northwest to Sickles Avenue, at lower end of the Wheatfield. DeTrobriand Avenue extends along stone wall and designates position held by DeTrobriand’s troops on July 2.

Description: Cast iron avenue tablet designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet.
