Little Round Top

Erected: 1896.

Location: Little Round Top. Located on South slope of Little Round Top, on East side of Sykes Avenue. Relocated from summit when Sykes Avenue was relocated.

Description: One of thirty-five site tablets. Cast iron site tablet was designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet. On July 2, 1863, hard pressed defenders of the Union Army held their ground here helping to defeat Lee’s offensive plan.
