Menchey’s Spring
Erected: 1896.
Location: Located near spring housing, west side of Wainwright Avenue.
Description: One of thirty-five site tablets. Cast iron site tablet was designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet. Housing was constructed to memorialize Spring from which Confederate soldiers drank from during the Battle.
