Sickles Avenue
Erected: 1896.
Location: Three tablets: Located at beginning of Avenue at Crawford Ave., at intersection w/ Wheatfield Rd (north and south sections). Constructed in 1886 and altered in 1895, Sickles Avenue is split into 2 sections. Starting from Crawford and Warren Avenues & running to the Wheatfield Road, it then continues west of the first section, from Wheatfield Rd near Peach Orchard, northward to Emmitsburg Road, passing through Excelsior Field.
Description: Cast iron avenue tablet designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet.
