Spangler Woods
Erected: 1896.
Location: Located at west edge of the woods, near West Confederate Avenue.
Description: One of thirty-five site tablets. Cast iron site tablet was designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet. Woods were occupied by Posey’s Brigade & Wright’s Georgia Brigade in expectation of a counterattack by Meade’s troops.
