Texas State Monument
Dedicated: Sept. 1964.
Location: Located near junction of Emmitsburg Road and Confederate Avenue. The Texas monument honors the three Texas regiments of J. B. Robertson’s Brigade (the only Texas units at Gettysburg). It is sited on land occupied by soldiers of Robertson’s Brigade prior to its attack toward Round Tops on July 2, 1863.
Description: Polished red sunset granite marker with bronze representation of the seal of the Lone Star State and text commemorating the services of Texans in the Battle of Gettysburg.
